Meet Barney!
Barney is a sweet 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel with a heart full of love and a story that’s still being rewritten. After a rough start in life, this handsome boy is learning that people can be kind—and he’s soaking up all the affection he can get!

Barney adores attention and cuddles, but he’s still figuring out the art of sharing toys and people (we can’t blame him—he just wants to be loved!). He can get a little jealous at times, but with patience and consistency, he’s improving every day.

He’s not a fan of being left alone and might voice his opinion about it, though he does settle down after a bit. On walks, Barney pulls slightly on the leash, but he’s making progress there, too. His curious nature means he likes to explore, so he’ll need supervision around tempting treasures he might “investigate.”

Barney loves to chase toys and is learning the fun of bringing them back. Most of all, he’s looking for a patient, loving home that will give him the security and companionship he craves.
