Their adoption process

Our adoption process is fluid but will always require an application, meet and greet and a home visit. Once these criteria are completed and approved the signing of an adoption contract and payment of the adoption fee are done at the end of the home visit.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. An application must be submitted in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
  2. Meet the Pet
    1. After the application is excepted the applicant will be contacted with in two days to set up a time to do a Meet and Greet at our facility.
  3. Home Check
    1. Once the Meet and Greet is completed and a dog is selected a home visit is scheduled at which time the dog is brought to the home.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. At the home visit if everything checks out and the adopter and the dog appear to be a good fit the adoption contract is signed.
  5. Pay Fee
    1. Upon signing the adoption contract the fee is paid.

More about this rescue

Mike and Cyndi Bland;
We are both retired and do dog rescue and sanctuary work from our home. Most of our dogs are rescued but some are surrendered. The dogs are taken in for an initial health screening where they can be scanned for a chip and possibly reunited with their owners. If no chip or no connection with previous owners is made the dog is held for 90 days and posted as found on multiple websites and social media platforms. After 90 days the dog is put into our adoption program.
We also are a sanctuary for troubled dogs with behavioral or health issues. We work with the dogs to improve their quality of life and find their forever homes but if they are not adopted we keep them at the facility living in comfort.
We do this because we love dogs. We see so many euthanized at the government run shelters or abandoned on the roadside that we have to save as many as we can. Our current capacity is 75 dogs but we are working on expanding our facility in the near future.
