My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dante

Dante is not a cuddle bug—and she’s okay with that. She’s the kind of dog who needs time, patience, and space to feel safe. It can take months for Dante to become comfortable with new people and her new home, but once she does, she will thrive in the right environment.

Important to know:
Dante is an escape artist—even at her old age. She has escaped multiple times from her previous home and has even gotten loose while on walks. Because of this, a fully fenced, secure yard is absolutely required, and her adopter must be diligent with doors, gates, and leashes at all times.

Dante’s ideal home:

--Adult-only household

--No other pets

--Fully fenced, secure yard (required)

--Calm, low-activity home

Someone experienced, patient, and willing to let her move at her own pace

Dante does best in a quiet setting where there isn’t a lot of foot traffic or constant activity. She’s not looking for a busy social life—she’s looking for stability, routine, and understanding.

If you’re someone who believes in giving a dog the time she needs to feel safe and doesn’t expect instant affection, Dante may be the perfect companion for you.
