My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Imlay, our golden ray of sunshine! 🌞

Named after Utah’s famous slot canyon, this beautiful mixed-breed girl has her own layers — playful, curious, and ready to explore the world once she feels safe by your side.

At first, Imlay can be a little shy and prefers to take things at her own pace, but give her a bit of patience and you’ll see her confidence bloom. When she opens up, her fun-loving personality shines through — she adores playing with other dogs, loves a good adventure, and always seems ready for the next discovery.

Imlay would thrive with an active, kind-hearted family who enjoys the outdoors and can give her the gentle guidance she needs to feel secure. With time and trust, she’ll be the perfect hiking buddy, road trip companion, and loyal best friend.

More about this rescue

Founded in 1990, Nuzzles and Co (formerly Friends of Animals Utah) was just a small group of animal lovers lobbying for a new shelter facility. Today, we are a full-fledged animal rescue and rehabilitation organization with an adoption center, dedicated staff and board of trustees, and a 15,000 sq. ft. facility that includes a full veterinary suite, indoor and outdoor training spaces, miles of hiking trails, and a community cat room with an attached "catio."
