Vegas is house and crate trained (although he hates going out in the cold even though he has a wonderfully lush coat). He does not need to be crated however and is fine left in the home on his own but would enjoy the company of another dog or a cat. He is wherever you are, at your feet, snuggled up on the couch, lying quietly under your desk. He is the perfect dog to take to work because he never barks.
Vegas would love to have a walk each day but generally gets enough exercise jumping up and down off the couch. He loves to be wherever people are and although he will try to get you to pick him up any chance he can, he is independent and doesn’t require 24/7 attention. He eats very little and other than a good brushing now and then, he is very low maintenance.
Vegas loves children and is sturdy enough for young children but would do best with children 5 and over. He just loves attention from kids. Although he is timid, he can handle himself well in a busy household. He loves to sleep in your bed and will stay in bed until you get up. He isn’t overly playful so he might be boring to some children but for anyone that wants a little companion that will adore you, Vegas is a wonderful choice.
Vegas is just 10 lbs of cuteness. He is a young dog and although he may need a day or two to settle himself comfortably in the home, he bonds quickly and strongly and would be a very loyal pet. Unlike some small dogs this boy doesn’t have a snappy bone in his little body and easily makes friends with everyone. You would be able to take Vegas anywhere without any problems and he would make a fantastic therapy dog.
Vegas was originally sold to a family as a miniature Australian Shepherd and they had even docked his tail severely to help with the look however, we believe he is a Pomeranian mix.
