My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I`m Buttons Buttons, the friendliest Yellow-Belly Slider turtle. I love to meet new friends and explore my surroundings with a curious eye. When people visit, I`m always eager to greet them with a warm welcome- I will come straight to you in my enclosure to say hi! I enjoy gentle head pets and engaging with everyone around me. I`m quite the social butterfly of the turtle world! If you`re looking for a companion who`s sociable and affectionate, I`m your turtle. Adopting me means endless moments of companionship and discovery together. Let`s make wonderful memories!

To ensure your family is the right fit and that my room is prepared and meets my care requirements, pictures must be provided to the wildlife tech of current set up, proof of size of enclosure with measurements and proof of proper lighting.

The housing requirements that must be met:
--Minimum 90 gal tank with 16-18 inches of water
--Basking lamp reaching 90-102 F and UVB light for 12 hours/day over basking spot
--Leafy greens as primary diet, commercial pellets only every 2-3 days
--25% water changes twice weekly
--Water temp maintained at 72-85F
