My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lillian has a way of making herself known without ever being overbearing. She greets you at the door with quiet confidence, a soft presence that says, “I’m glad you’re here.” When she wants attention, she doesn’t fuss or cry—she simply hops onto your lap, settles in, and looks at you with intelligent eyes that leave no doubt about what she’s asking for.

She’s active enough to keep life interesting, darting around the house with energy, but she balances it with affection and gentleness. Her “gentle demanding” nature means she knows how to ask for what she wants without ever crossing into mischief.

Around dogs, she holds her own with calm assurance, never rattled, never aggressive. Her household manners are impeccable—no overturned plants, no scratched furniture. She enjoys people, whether familiar faces or new ones, and she adapts quickly, making guests feel welcome with her easy charm.

Even the practical parts of life don’t faze her. Car rides are smooth, vet visits are handled with grace. She’s intelligent enough to understand routines, affectionate enough to make every moment feel special, and adaptable enough to fit seamlessly into any household.

Lillian isn’t just a pet—she’s a companion who makes ordinary days brighter with her presence.

Additional adoption info

All of the cats and kittens adopted from St. Francis have been vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, spayed or neutered and microchipped. We do our best to ensure that the pet you adopt is healthy and happy.

We feel it is important for all potential adopters to meet and spend some time with the cat or kitten they would like adopt. Our trained volunteers will assist in helping adopters choose the cat that will fit in best with your household.

Go meet their pets

Because we are a foster rescue, we do not have a shelter or physical location. To meet our cats and kittens, please phone or email us to arrange a date and time meet them. You can also meet our cats at our Meet and Greet events.

Two Saturdays each month, St. Francis holds a Meet and Greet event from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the PetSmart store in Forest Lake, MN. Anyone wishing to meet our cats and kittens is invited to attend our Meet and Greet events. We have a quiet room where potential adopters and meet and socialize with any cats/kittens that they are interested in adopting.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Animal Rescue (SFAAR) is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming homeless, neglected, stray and otherwise unwanted cats and kittens. Until they are adopted, our rescued cats live in loving foster homes as part of the family while we learn about their personalities, behaviors and temperaments. Foster families work with their cats/kittens to teach them good manners, care for any medical problems, and address any behavior issues. This information helps our adoption counselors match the perfect pet for you and your family.
