My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Seren: A True Survivor Seeking Love

Seren (meaning 'star' or 'serene') is a beautiful black dog with a heart of gold who is ready to leave her tough past behind and settle into a loving home! This gorgeous girl was recently rescued after being found abandoned outside with her five young puppies. It is believed she spent much of her life neglected, possibly living on a chain. Despite this hardship, Seren is incredibly resilient, sweet, and affectionate.

The Good Life Awaits!

Since coming indoors, Seren has absolutely thrived and discovered the joys of being a pampered pet!

  • Ultimate Cuddler: Seren's favorite place is snuggled right next to you on the couch. If you're looking for a devoted companion, she's your girl!

  • Social Butterfly: She gets along wonderfully with cats and other dogs, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet household.

  • Loves the Luxuries: Seren has fully embraced the indoors and enjoys all the simple pleasures: delicious food, fun toys, and a soft bed.

A Happy Ending Deserved

Seren successfully raised her five gorgeous puppies (who are also safe and sound!) and now it is her turn to be the focus of attention. She deserves a family that will shower her with the love and comfort she missed out on for so long.

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. More about this rescue

Stray Haven provides homes, as foster space allows, for dogs and puppies. We primarily focus on pulling dogs and puppies from independent rescuers who have little resources to secure the vetting and homes that these precious babies so desperately need. Some counties in rural areas don't have access to a county run shelter or facility and these independent rescuers are breaking their backs trying to make sure that dogs aren't starving or freezing after abandonment.

In addition to taking in these dogs and puppies, our outreach continues to help independent rescuers by providing education, exposure for the animals in their care and donations when possible to support their cause.
