Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Oreo Beignet- 2 yr old mixed-breed female. Rescued off the streets of Beaumont where she was being bred & her puppies resold for drug money. Oreo is safe in a foster home now, and has been spayed & received her rabies vaccine. She is crate trained, knows “sit” and “gimme a paw” commands and is learning more! She is a big couch potato but also loves a game of fetch in the yard or dog park. She is good with cats and other dogs, and good with children, but would be best suited for older children as she may knock little ones over. Oreo spent 2 years of her life living under a house and not allowed indoors, so she would love a family who will let her stay inside with people and not be left outdoors in a yard all day. Oreo is available for adoption in Beaumont TX but can arrange transport!"
If interested, please contact Meghann via Secretgardenfarm@outlook.com or (254) 386-6351

Additional adoption info
To confirm an animal's location, please call the shelter 409-833-0504 to ask if an animal is at the shelter or in foster care. We work really hard to ensure each pet goes into a home that is the best fit for them and the new family. This is why a session with a Matchmaker is required. Adoptions are on a first approved basis.

Originally formed as the Humane Educational Council of Southeast Texas in 1962, the primary focus was to educate the public on animal care and compassion. In 1981, our name changed to Humane Society of Southeast Texas (HSSET) but our goals and values remain the same. HSSET is devoted to building a better community for both pets and people through education programs and setting a new standard for companion animal care.
The HSSET is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization run entirely on grants, donor contributions, community volunteers, and a lot of love.
Our shelter is a limited intake no-kill facility serving not only the City of Beaumont, but the entire Southeast Texas region.
