My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bailey was brought in by a Good Samaritan.

At SDHS:
Bailey has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

Why Bailey might be the one for you:
Bailey is the cutest little guy with his big eyes and airplane ears that look so cute when he is wearing a cap. . He is small and will easily fit in his human's big bag, which is good because Bailey does not like to be very far away from his person. He is not the kind of dog that you can leave in the morning and return after work. He will miss you too much to be left home alone. He is in a foster home where his foster mom says that he is the sweetest little dude and very easy when managed. That is code for don't leave him alone for long because he gets anxious when separated from his human. Bailey is a burrower. He is usually found burrowed under his bedding instead of on top of it. He wants to the only dog in a quiet home home, as he values his peace of mind! He wants places for lots of naps and sunbathing. Are you a quiet person in a quiet home who would like a little dog to share your quiet space? If so, contact us to meet Bailey and see if he is your soulmate.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
