My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peppa is a 2yr old GSD/Blue Tic/Rottie/Bernese/Lab mix who was taken from a hoarding situation. She had never seen the sun or touched grass until she came to us. This lady is doing very well with accepting her new world. Although some things are still scary (shuffling on stones) She does like to touch things with her mouth (your hand, wrist band) Shes just checking things out. Its all new to her. Peppa likes to play with other dogs, and wants to be pet and loved on.**Please fill out an application found on our website under "adopt a pet" and send it in to start adoption process.**

More about this shelter

Van Wert is a small rural community. The Van Wert County Humane Society has seen hard times in the past but since the Humane Society is under a new board, things have changed for the better and we work hard to care for and adopt the animals at the shelter. We have a small base of volunteers that will come and spend time with the animals at the shelter. We take donations of any sort, and the Humane Society is 501c3.
