Look! Up in the sky... it’s Super Cooper!!! Seriously - look up. Cooper can’t exactly fly, but when joy hits, he jumps straight into it and ends up eye-level or higher. Cooper is super big, super energetic, super smart, and super good. Not “good boy” good. Force of good good. The kind that fills a room and tilts the whole day toward happiness. At three years old, Cooper is healthy, strong, and built like a hound who believes momentum is a life philosophy. He moves with purpose. He commits fully. Standing still has never seemed like the right answer. With people, Cooper’s superpower is wholehearted affection. He greets you like you matter - because to him, you matter more than anything. He jumps, he spins, he tries to be close in ways that are enthusiastic, sincere, and occasionally require sturdy footwear. It’s not wildness. It’s generosity. With other dogs, Cooper assumes the best. Every dog is a potential ally. Every walk is a chance to make a new friend. He goes to the end of the leash not with anger, but optimism, broadcasting his belief that the world is better when we’re all on the same team. A hero like this needs the right setting. Cooper needs a fenced yard and people who understand that energy is meant to be used. Hikes, games, movement, and a household that views “everyone’s finally tired” as a major win. Once the day’s adventures are complete, Cooper powers down into his secret identity - a 75-pound snuggle blanket who leans in close. All that strength softens into gratitude. Cooper’s story has an origin chapter that matters. He came from a cruelty case, underfed and overlooked. Now that he’s safe and cared for, he is making up for lost time the best way he knows how - by choosing joy, connection, and goodness every single day. If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you moving, keep you laughing, and remind you what it looks like to live wholeheartedly, Cooper is ready. Animal Aid Society 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA Open to visitors 9am–noon, every day, including weekends and holidays Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!
PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
