Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Imagine living your life in a cage in a filth ridden house. You live in squalor, with 24 other dogs. You are covered in fleas, needing medical attention, and never leave your wire prison. This is the life that a group of Clifton dogs suffered.
Roy Boy was one of them and a true survivor. He is a Chihuahua mixed with possible Jack Russell, approx 7 yrs old, 12 lbs, neutered, up to date on his shots and leash trained. This little guy loves affection and wants to be held as much as possible. He loves to go for walks, car rides and has a nice perky energy. He will be protective of his family & house. Rather than being crated, he is gated in a small room when left alone. He is doing very well with his housetraining but still needs a little work. Due to his previous environment he is protective of his food and his foster mom is working with him on that unacceptable behavior. He gets along with most dogs but is not good around cats (unless the cat is very confident), he will chase them.
THIS DOG IS A RESCUE FROM THE BRIGHTON DOG HOARDING SITUATION IN CLIFTON, NJ. ALL THE BRIGHTON ROAD DOGS NEEDS A LITTLE MORE TLC THAN YOUR AVERAGE RESCUE AND VIRTUALLY NONE WILL BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH SMALL/YOUNG CHILDREN. EXPERIENCE WITH (SMALL) DOGS PREFERRED . WE KINDLY ASK YOU TO RESPECT THE ORDEAL THE DOGS HAVE BEEN THROUGH - NONE OF THEM WILL BE AT OUR ADOPTION EVENTS UNTIL THEY HAVE SETTLED IN TO THEIR FOSTER HOMES. IF INTERESTED PLEASE FILL OUT AN ONLINE APPLICATION AND WE WILL SCHEDULE A MEET AND GREET PRIVATELY.
