Thunder may be the color of a dark sky, but this shy guy is all sweetness. He is a standard poodle who weighs 66 pounds and is four years old. Thunder is still settling in to his new surroundings but he loves being in his crate and is fully house trained. This loveable guy is looking for a quiet place and a patient adopter who will help him gain confidence.

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
