Meet Sunny!
Little Sunny is the sweetest baby! She has such a lovely temperament and is wonderful with all people and other dogs. She is a delight. Her foster home even has chickens and she loves them.
Sadly, Sunny had an accident in her former home when she was a 10 week old puppy. The children in the home slammed a door on her and the back end of her body got caught in the door. As a result, Sunny sustained injuries that have limited her mobility. She can walk and play and gets around surprisingly well and can eliminate normally. She is a happy and cheerful pup and does not appear to be in pain. We have had Sunny evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon and it was determined that there is no surgical solution to her disability. She has lost function in her back left leg and has reduced function in her back right leg. We are starting with some rehabilitation work (hydro-therapy, laser therapy) to help strengthen her muscles.
Sunny is such a wonderful pup. We hope there is a family out there for her willing to love her just as she is. She can't do long walks but enjoys shorts outings and a little playtime in the yard. She will be a wonderful and loyal companion to a lucky family.
Sunny will be spayed, vaccinated and chipped. Her adoption fee is $350
We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
