My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Journey!

Are you ready to meet one of the most special girls to come along in a while? Well, gear up because Journey (lovingly nicknamed Jooney by her foster) is seriously one in a few billion.

Journey has an estimated birthdate of 11/11/2023 and came to us from SCRAPS! She had a rough beginning as she awaited her spay appointment, she developed a pyometra - an infection in her uterus and stopped eating, and was quite lethargic. She received life saving surgery, is all healed up and off of all her meds! She's turnkey ready to go home!

She is a beautiful all white husky with stunning blue eyes and a very sweet personality! Joon enjoys nuzzling your arm on the couch to request affection - I dare you to try and ignore her, it's simply impossible! She's got the most calm and relaxed personality for her assumed breed, which is quite shocking. She prefers to hang out inside with her people where it's warm, and easily gets cold out in the winter snow.

She coexists with other dogs very well and can live with dog savvy cats and owners who will tell her no. She's more interested and curious more than anything and will chase cats, but she has shown no aggression towards the 4 in her foster home.

If you are considering any dog, please think of Journey. She is going the be the one that got away, but in order to continue helping other dogs in need, it's not possible for her to be adopted by her foster. Once you meet her you will certainly fall in love, and once she gets to know you back, it will be a mutually exquisite friendship

Journeys adoption fee is $200 and she comes spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed.

Thanks for checking out Journey!

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
