Abigail is one of the pups from our Swifties group. She is a 1.5 year old, 10 lb Dachshund Chihuahua mix. She and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Foster mom says that Abigail has a big heart and even bigger cuddle habit. Abigail was scared of the world when she first arrived, but with a little love and patience from her foster family, she has blossomed into a sweet, spunky, little companion. Mealtime is her favorite part of the day, and she does the cutest little happy dance in circles while her food is being prepared. Abigail is great on leash and enjoys walks around the neighborhood. She has learned how much fun toys are! She loves to sit in a little dog bed by foster mom's desk while she is working. Abigail needs a calm loving home where she can continue to feel safe and adored. In return, she will be a loyal cuddle buddy. Abigail has heartworms because she wasn't kept on heartworm prevention, but Humane Tomorrow will pay for her treatment with our partner vet, and the treatments are very successful. If you would like to give Abigail a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Additional adoption info
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
