Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Buddy! 🐾
Buddy is a gentle, affectionate soul looking for a calm and loving forever home. This sweet boy has a heart of gold and loves nothing more than spending quiet time with his favorite people. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, his loving personality shines through.
Buddy would do best in a peaceful home with a well-mannered child over the age of 10 who understands how to give him space and kindness. He enjoys a relaxed environment where he can feel safe and loved.
His foster mom says Buddy has a curious streak and a great nose for adventure — she even thinks he might have a real talent for barn hunt trials! With his gentle spirit and clever mind, Buddy could thrive with a little encouragement and fun training.
If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet companion who’s ready to blossom in the right home, Buddy might just be the perfect match. ❤️
All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
