Peter Pan’s a possibly 9yo 10lb Chi. He’s dog, cat and kid friendly. He’s working on house training, will wear a belly band and sometimes uses Pee Pads. He’s good in a secure fenced in yard along with going on 30-40minute harness leashed walks. He loves to be with his person and on their lap along with hanging with other dogs. He is very sweet, mellow and friendly. He will bark to tell you he is hungry, wants to go out or be picked up. He loves to go wherever his person goes and enjoys car rides.
Peter Pan’s foster requires he be able to sleep in bed with his person. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.
Peter Pan as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

If applicable, we will call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for.
For renters, we will check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted.
Lastly, we will do a home check. We will arrange a visit with the dog and your family including all animals in your home, typically at your home. This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable input on how to integrate your new pet into your home. If we agree it is a mutually good fit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee and take the new dog into your home.
This process typically takes a few days and then you are ready to take your new friend home.
