My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

They don't come much cuter than this sweet little guy. Harrison is a Havanese mix, and is currently in a foster home. He lives with other small dogs, and is working on his housebreaking and basic obedience skills. Harrison is full of love, and a true joy to be with. He is always happy and ready for fun. He is still a puppy so according to his foster mom he will get into things and chew if unsupervised. Harrison will require regular grooming as part of his care. His foster mom wants him to have a fenced yard and older children only in his new home.

Pet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. We are a limited admission shelter that supports our local animals control facilities by helping take in the overflow of cats and dogs from their facilities. We also take in owner surrenders as space allows.

Pet Refuge is a volunteer based shelter, learn more about us on our website - petrefuge.com or send an email to webmaster@petrefuge.com or leave a message at 574-231-1122.

We are always recruiting new volunteers. Our volunteers work hard and also have family and jobs away from Pet Refuge, we ask for your patience in correspondence.
