My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We got Perdita from a rescue in Midland, Texas as a puppy in 2022!
We’ve marked January 21st, 2022 as her birthday, so she’s almost 4 now.
She can be pretty shy, and takes a minute to warm up to people. She barks a lot, but has never bitten, even when stressed.
She has a ton of energy and LOVES attention. She does well with other dogs, but can be food aggressive when other animals are around. She does well with her cats, but may need some time to warm up to new ones. She has a strong prey drive and will chase after unknown cats, chickens, or other animals with no hesitation. She has caught a bird, but did not kill it. She let it go on its way after catching it.
We thought she would be great with kids, but she really is not a good toddler dog.
She would be great with older kids who can play with her and keep her busy, but she definitely has some jealousy issues with little kids getting all the attention from her people. She’s a good dog! Just not for toddlers.
