Brindle in a bodacious package with a special little bit of everything is the recipe for what makes Lionel so special. Lionel is a pit bull mix adult dude who weighs about 60 lbs now and has a gorgeous
brindle coat. It's quite likely nothing about Lionel's life has been easy so far and some prior trauma of some sort has left him with a bit of a head tilt that we wish he didn't have to endure, but by golly makes it seem like he is forever interested in what you are saying as he looks at you lovingly. Lionel is a precious soul who has just the right amount of energy but also can settle down and enjoy the slower things in life as well. He does well with lots of his doggo friends and has a nice medium energy level that isn't over the top at all. Pampering, believes Lionel, should be in his future and he could settle easily into many homes and certainly including the ones who love a pit bull love of snuggles and disregard for their size versus the size of your lap. Lionel is ready to roar on into your heart....
*Sleepover feedback: "We had a wonderful time with Lionel. He is a very sweet and loving boy. He seemed very comfortable with us. I hope he had a good experience like we did with him. Thank you for allowing us to host him. It’s a terrific program".
*Additional feedback: "Lionel is the best boy. He is very sweet and snuggly. He did well on the leash and during the car ride. He seems to be potty trained. He did not love the crate, but really enjoyed sleeping on the couch / bed. He slept in late and did not wake us up to go outside too early. He is very quiet and loves meeting new people".

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.
If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org
Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.
Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue
Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
