Meet Darla – the tiny warrior with the biggest heart!
At just two days old, Darla and her two brothers were found abandoned in a dumpster. What should have been the beginning of a carefree puppyhood turned into a fight for survival. All three babies faced serious health struggles, but sweet Darla fought the hardest. She overcame painful face sores, swollen toes that split open, lost toenails, ear mites, and some developmental delays. Tragically, her brothers didn’t make it – but Darla did. Today, this two-month-old miracle is the very definition of resilience and joy.
Now? You’d never know she had such a rough start. Darla is a whirlwind of feisty, bouncy energy who greets every day like it’s the best day ever (because for her, it really is). She zooms around the house with her foster dog siblings, gleefully “attacks” human toes like it’s her full-time job, and when she play-wrestles, she lets out the most adorable little growls and grumbles – everyone says she sounds exactly like a fierce (but very tiny) baby tiger. It’s guaranteed to melt your heart every single time.
Darla is wicked smart and already making great progress with house training. She’s food-motivated, quick to learn, and eager to please once she decides you’re part of her pack. Based on her age and current size, the growth charts predict she’ll grow into a large breed adult, though her mix is a total mystery – maybe you’ll spot some clues as she grows!
Because of everything she’s been through, Darla’s future family should know that while she’s thriving and appears perfectly healthy now, early trauma can sometimes bring unexpected challenges later. She deserves a home that’s ready to love her unconditionally, through the easy days and any bumpy ones that might come.
If you’re looking for a puppy who will fill your life with laughter, cuddles, chaos (the very best kind), and constant reminders of just how precious second chances are – Darla is your girl. This little survivor didn’t just beat the odds; she turned them into pure joy. All she needs now is the perfect family to share that joy with forever.
Could that family be yours? Darla sure hopes so – she’s ready to love you with every ounce of her brave, bouncy heart. 🐾❤️
Her adoption fee will be $240 which includes a $75 deposit that will be returned to you once she is old enough to be spayed. The fee covers, microchip, wormer, bordatella , 3 sets of shots, rabies, and spay.

Additional adoption info
The adoption process:
Step 1: Complete the Adoption Application. You can request an adoption application via email. Once complete the form can be emailed back for review. You can always pick a adoption application at any of our events.
Step 2: We will review completed applications, do reference and fence checks, as well as a home visit, if needed. Please remember that adopting a pup is making a commitment of 10-15 years, so we do not take any shortcuts in processing applications. It is our responsibility to place these pups in the very best homes we can possibly find for them.
Step 3: When your Adoption Application is approved, we will schedule a time for you to meet the pup that just might be the newest member of your family.
***Please remember that we are an all-volunteer, foster based rescue organization. We do not have a public shelter facility, so all meetings for potential adopters and fosters are done by appointment only. ***
Step 4: After the meeting, if everything seems to be a perfect match, the final step is the signing of the Adoption Contract, payment of the $165 adoption fee and $75 deposit, which makes it $240 (if the animal is not spayed or neutered yet), and taking your new family member home. You will get your deposit back when their 6 months old and altered.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit volunteer ran organization dedicated to eradicating animal cruelty to all breeds in Wichita and surrounding counties. While we will help any animal in need that we can, we seek to promote the bully breed as the loving and loyal animals they are. All our animals are in private foster homes of caring volunteers. Our animals come to us under many different circumstances. They may be from an accidental or unwanted litter, the one abandoned at a shelter, the one that "got too big", the one sitting on the side of the road waiting for the owner, the one that escaped their chain, the irresponsible result of a breeder, the one left behind when the owners moved, or the one beat and left for dead. The list could go on. We hold adoption events throughout the year and during the colder months we hit the streets looking for neglected and/or dogs in need. We hand out cold weather supplies and educate owners about community resources that are available and proper dog ownership.
