My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Come meet Dublin and his friends at our adoption event on Sat 12/13 from 12-2pm at Pet Supplies Plus in Fridley!

Hi, I’m Dublin! I'm a 60lb, 3 years old, Lab Collie mix!

I have the biggest heart you’ll ever find! I’m full of energy and love to explore, but I’m also very calm and like to relax on the couch. I’m great with my two step doggie siblings and even that cat that lurks around. I’ll be your favorite snuggly buddy and steal your pillow if you let me. I’m still learning to get comfortable and know what these toys are all about. But I sure do love a good cookie or the payments on the cheese tax. I won’t chomp your fingers off and know how to take it gently. I am a little greedy with my time with mom or my spot on the couch.

I’m the smallest one in the family at about 60lbs so I need to be tough sometime. I like to act tough and growl but never get snippy or bite. Being outside is probably my favorite thing besides snuggles. I love to run around the yard and sniff all the good smells out there. I also have a little person that has become my best friend. We like to spend time together reading stories and working on my tricks.

I know sit, stay, lay down and we even working on playing dead. I am crate trained and it is my safe spot but I am a very good boy and would do just fine being left alone. I’m not one that’s going to annoy your neighbors with my barking, I’m a quiet boy that just likes to observe. At bedtime I can sleep in my crate but I much prefer to curl up next to you if you let me. I am looking for my forever home, whether is just me and you or a whole fam! I do great in all settings. I hope we can meet up soon and see if I can melt your heart.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is simple. The very first step is to fill out our adoption interest form through our website.

We'll look over your application and determine if the animal you are interested in is a good match for your family. If it looks like a good match, we will contact you to set up a time for you to meet the animal. If you decide after meeting him/her that you want to move forward with adoption, we will set up a home visit and finalize the adoption! Please note that filling out an interest form does not guarantee adoption of an animal, and we don't adopt out animals on a first come first serve basis. We endeavor to find the best match for all animals and families.

Adoption fees cover age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter (if old enough), and costs involved in caring for the animals up to the point of adoption. Adoption fees also help fund veterinary costs of animals who come to rescue that need extra care.
