My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Frida! Frida is a gentle and well-mannered Chihuahua with a calm and loving temperament. She enjoys the simpler things in life like basking in a warm, sunny spot and watching the world go by. She is an obedient and well-behaved little lady who enjoys peace, quiet and plenty of relaxation time. While Frida is carrying around a few extra pounds, she takes it all in stride - it just means there's more of her to love. With some gentle walks and continued care, she'll be on her way to feeling her best. She's easy to please, loves being near her people and has mastered the art of riding the chillwave. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share slow mornings, cozy afternoons, and sun-soaked moments, Frida is your girl.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
