KISSES NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Kisses and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Dec. 7th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!

Name: Kisses       Best Guess for Breed:  Collie/sheltie mix

Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of October 2025        SEX:  Female

Approximate Weight:   34 lbs as of 11/14/25

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Kisses is Looking For: Her forever home! Kisses is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and romps with pup pals and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together.

Most of all, though, she wants to know she is safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she has, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Kisses the one you have been seeking?

What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has spent time in foster care.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
