Meet Carmen and Blackie — two best friends hoping to bring double the love to a new home! Both girls are around 5 years old and were originally surrendered by their owner through no fault of their own. They’re a deeply bonded little duo who must be adopted together. Carmen is a 21-lb Cairn Terrier mix with an outgoing personality. She’s friendly, social, and loves greeting new people with a goofy grin and nonstop tail wags. She warms up quickly and is an absolute sweetie. Blackie, a 16.4-lb Chihuahua mix, is the gentler, quieter half of the pair. She’s shy and cautious at first, but her sweet tail wags show she wants love just as much as her sister. With patience and a gentle touch, she’ll blossom. Blackie has a cataract in her left eye and luxating patellas. She moves around just fine, but she should lose weight so she’s more comfortable. Together, these two make a wonderful pair — Carmen brings confidence, and Blackie brings calm. They reportedly do well with cats and with kids 5+.
