This sweet senior mixed breed was brought to Faithful Friends under less than ideal circumstances. His owner passed away, and he was stranded for several days inside his home before being rescued.
Now acclimating to kennel life, Jack is surprising us with his goofy antics and high energy level. We'd love to find this active old gentleman a new permanent residence ASAP.
Jack has just joined our playgroups and is receiving a gold star. He's happy to make new friends and engage in zoomies with them, but he's equally content to bounce around the yard and do is own thing. He has decent leash manners - he's not a heavy puller even if doesn't walk in a perfect heel.
Jack has a party trick - his legs are made of springs! He doesn't jump ON you, just straight up in the air, and he achieves unbelieveable heights! He loves booty scratches, and he DEMANDS attention. His tale wags in windmilling circles as he anticipates his meals or some free time outside of the kennel.
Jack is an exemplary office dog. Not only does he remain accident free, he's incredibly well-behaved, sticking to dozing on the couch or zooming around playing with toys. He does not counter surf nor does he act destructively. It is very rare to encounter a dog who is simultaneously mannerly yet SO passionate about play! He is a hilarious and entertaining companion and keeps us laughing throughout the day. Jack has a wide array of funny noises he use to "talk back" to us. He squirms and worms around, contorting his body to get optimum pets. He's a fan of squeaky and crinkly toys.
Overall, this spunky senior sweetheart with a heart of gold and legs made of springs is always so fun to spend time with. We envision his ideal forever home as someone with a heart for senior dogs but who is still able to keep up with active, able-bodied, and enthusiastically physical players. Whether you would join him in tug, wrestling, or zoomies, Jack would spend his not-quite-endless energy with you forever.

If you submitted an online app, staff will contact you for a phone or email conversation or to schedule an in-person convo at the shelter.

During our m&g's, we ensure that any questions are answered and that the animal of interest matches what the applicant is looking for.

If you are interested in one of our adoptable pets, you can visit the the Adoption Center and fill out a paper application, fill out our application online from our website, or submit a request to receive one by email. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you are welcome to come by the center during our open hours for a meet-and-greet! We also ask that our dog applicants who have dogs of their own bring their current dog/s for a meet-and-greet with the potential new family member as well.
If the animal you are interested in has no other applications in and FFAA staff feel that you are a good fit, approved applicants may finalize the adoption the same day!
