If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Leo is a spunky mix (dna includes shih-tzu, mountain cur, beagle, and blue heeler), he is 2-years-old, 13lbs, smart, playful, athletic, and social, with a bright and lovable personality. He’s happiest when he's outside exploring all the sights and smells, playing fetch, or meeting new friends. He loves all the attention he gets on walks.
Leo would thrive in an active home or with someone who can match his curious and social nature. He would benefit from continued obedience training and socialization to help build good manners.
At home, Leo enjoys being by the action, by a window, getting belly rubs, or in his cozy bed. He will never turn down an opportunity to play, but he knows how to settle down after sufficient activity. He is also crate trained and contently sleeps there.
Leo has had mild luxating patellas (loose kneecaps) since he was a puppy (likely genetic). He is now on joint supplements but presents as completely healthy.
