My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar is a young adult male with striking blue eyes and soft, creamy coloring accented by darker points, giving him a beautifully expressive face. He came into our care in the summer of 2025 after being dumped out in the hot sun in our parking lot along with his siblings. His gentle, slightly cautious posture in the photo matches his personality, he can be a little skittish at first, but his friendly nature shines once he feels comfortable. Full of energy and big-hearted charm, Oscar loves people and enjoys being the center of attention. He was adopted but recently returned due to stress with having another cat in home. He’s looking for a home where he can be the only cat, soaking up all the affection and giving plenty in return. lounge on comfy beds and would love to curl up next to you on the couch!

Oscar's adoption fee is donation based (choose your price) which covers his neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworm/flea preventatives and microchip!

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
