INTRODUCING Mira, a tiny superstar in the making!
At just 3 months old and 18 pounds of pure sweetness, this black-with-white-markings
Lab/Retriever mix is the perfect blend of cuddly baby and future adventure buddy.
Mira loves to be held and will happily melt into your arms for belly rubs, but don’t let her soft side fool you—she’s already showing off her spirited pup energy on quick little hikes. She’s curious, bright, and has lots of growing to do, both in size and in all the wonderful things she’ll learn with a patient, loving family.
As a young pup, Mira is a blank slate ready to learn everything: manners, routines, confidence, and all the joys of being part of a home. With consistency, kindness, and plenty of snuggles, she’ll blossom into the incredible family companion she’s meant to be.
If you’re looking for a sweet baby girl who will fill your home with joy, laughter, and puppy love, Mira is ready to grow up by your side.
Hiking feedback: "Mira walked well on the leash and only pulled when trying to catch up with friends. She gives great hugs and was all around a very fun and energetic pup"!
*Sleepover feedback: "She is excellent in the crate, sleeping all night without complaint and taking a couple of naps during the day as well. She was also very calm in the car, lying down the entire ride. Mira is a playful puppy who loves lots of attention. She is a little goofy, at times! She has a lot of puppy energy, enjoys playing fetch and tug of war as well as taking walks".
Weekend Host Feedback: "Mira was a GREAT weekend pal! She's sweet, loveable, likes to play and also to hang out / rest by your side or on a dog bed. Definitely still in puppy mode and loves a good chew! We took her out on a number of walks, some around the neighborhood, and in the forest behind our townhome. She really enjoyed exploring the leaves and the forest environment but was a bit more nervous to walk in the street. Once she got going, she did fairly well on leash. We also took her out several times, and she was nervous to get into the crate / into the car, but did fine once inside. No barking or whining. She slept well overnight in her crate! Had 2 pee accidents in the home, but probably from excitement and one was early in the morning, before going out. No big deal! She was a great, sweet puppy to hang out with! We look forward to doing another weekend sleep over again!"

More about this rescue
Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
