What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Apollo, who I love to call Poe, is a Great Pyrenees I adopted from a shelter about 4 years ago (12/02/2021). He is a sweet and loving boy who loves to cuddle. If he could be a lap dog, he would be! He is estimated to be around 7-8 years old, but it is not too difficult to get him excited and acting like a puppy. He still has pretty good energy and loves to play. I am looking to rehome him with a family that is well experienced in taking care of large dogs with troublesome behaviors. Apollo is potty trained, but has difficulty holding his urine for longer than 6 hours at a time so he may have accidents from time to time. He is also fear-aggressive and anxious. He has improved over the years, but he has never been trained by an expert. I tried my best to correct his fear. He can get along with nonreactive dogs with very slow introductions and trust building, but he needs an owner that will learn how to redirect him safely in cases where he might become aggressive.
