Meet Oats! SEE BELOW FOR FOSTER UPDATES! HOUSE-TRAINED & CRATE-TRAINED CUTIE PIE!
This six-year-old, 17-pound chihuahua mix is all about the good life and is eager to begin his life with you!
Oats is currently enjoying some much needed r&r in an amazing foster home! House-trained and crate-trained, this little man aims to please! He is a feisty fella who enjoys a good game of tug and won't pass up a squeaky toy! He will sit nicely for all sorts of treats which he takes gently! His foster mom is able to take both toys and treats away with no issue.
Oats rides very well in the car and is a rockstar on leash. He'll make the ultimate road trip companion and is ready to join you on all of your adventures! After playtime is done, Oats enjoys curling up by the fire and is most happy when he's with his people. He does appear to have a bit of a prey drive, so keeping him on leash or a tie out would be necessary if your yard is not fenced. At the end of the day, he sleeps quietly through the night.
Based on our evaluation, we feel Oats will do best in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. We feel he may have the potential to live in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
If you think he could be the guy for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our outstanding Oats!
