Meet Meatloaf — the Gentle Boy With a Big, Soft Heart
Meatloaf is a gorgeous black kitten with bright, expressive eyes and the sweetest little face. He may look calm and composed in photos, but this boy is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.
Meatloaf starts off shy and timid, and he’ll need an adopter who understands that trust takes time — and that’s okay. With patience, kindness, and a quiet environment, he begins to come out of his shell…and that’s when you get to see the magic.
Once he feels comfortable, Meatloaf transforms into a playful, affectionate sweetheart. He loves gentle pets, cozy blankets, and safe snuggle spots. And when he finally decides you’re his person, he’ll reward you with purrs, nuzzles, and adorable bursts of kitten energy.
Meatloaf would be happiest in a calm home with someone who appreciates a tender soul and is willing to let him grow at his own pace. If you’re looking for a loving companion who just needs a little confidence to shine, Meatloaf is ready to wiggle his way into your heart.
Animal is Fostered in: Spring Grove, IL and able to go home on or after 12/11/25
He/She is scheduled for alteration on 12/09/25. If adopted prior to this date, adopter will sign an alteration contract and submit a $100 reimbursable deposit at the time of alteration. We ask that the deposit be in the form of a CHECK. Adopter will be expected to bring the animal to this surgery appointment on day, time and at location scheduled. If the adopter fails to bring to date of surgery, the deposit will NOT be refunded. We value the time our Veterinarian's provide us. We are charged a fee for cancellations or no show appointments. Microchip
Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed)
Heartworm Testing (dogs); FELV/FIV Testing (cats)
Age appropriate CORE vaccines. Dhpp, Rabies (if old enough)-dog; CVR, Rabies (if old enough) - cat - WE DO NOT ADMINISTER BORDETELLA unless indicated. PLEASE NOTE- puppies and kittens may need to complete vaccination schedule depending on age at time of adoption.
Dewormed
All breeds are best guess from veterinarian based on physical exam. All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources. Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found! Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.

Take a peek at the animals we have available for adoption and find one you can't live without!
Submit Application
You will not be able to meet one of our animals without having first completed an adoption application. We will review and vet check.
Home Check
If you live too far for a home visit, we will ask you to submit a video tour of your home.
Approve Application
If approved, you will receive an approval notification via e-mail. You will be contacted by the foster home to schedule a meet & greet.
Meet the Pet
During your meet and greet Rescue Outreach will decide if you are a good fit for the animal- and if the animal is a good fit for you.
Sign Adoption Contract
If everyone is a good fit, you will be able to adopt! Many times adoptions can take place the same day as your meet and greet!!
