Hi! I’m Tootsie, and I came into the world as a little singleton—no mom, no siblings, just me. When I first arrived, I was very tiny and needed round-the-clock care, so I went straight into foster where I got all the love (and all the feedings!) I needed. Before long, I started gaining weight, growing strong, and turning into the big, healthy kitty I am today.
I’ve got lots of energy, and I love to run, play, and explore. I can get a little too playful sometimes and might use my mouth when I’m excited, but with a bit of gentle training and guidance, I’m learning good manners. And don’t worry—once I’ve gotten all my zoomies out, I’m a total cuddlebug. I love curling up with my humans when it’s time to relax.
I’m neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and litter box trained, so I’m all set and ready for my forever home. If you’re looking for a spirited, affectionate kitten who just wants love, playtime, and a cozy lap, I might be the perfect match for you.

Before you are eligible to adopt any animal from Border Paws Animal Shelter, you must complete our Adoption Application, and must be approved as an adopter.
To complete an adoption you must:
be a pre-approved adopter
be at least 18 years of age
visit the shelter to meet the animals
provide at least one piece of photo identification with current address
Applications are reviewed within 48 hours. If approved, our Kennel Coordinator will contact you to set up a time to introduce you to any animals that may best suit what you are looking for, or the animal you've requested a visit with.
All dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption have
been spayed or neutered
received at least one set of vaccines
received a microchip for identification
Note: Animals are adopted to the individual with the most favorable application for the needs of the animal. Border Paws Animal Shelter reserves the right to deny any application received for any reason deemed fit by the organization.
