What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Broccoli is a sweet and energetic dog. He is completely deaf, which makes him unique and has a few special needs, but nothing difficult to handle as an owner. He acts like a normal dog does in most ways, but he will not react at all to sounds like doorbells, fireworks, or sirens. But he does love to chase things like lights, shadows, lasers, fast moving things, birds, and planes. Because of the missing pigment that causes his deafness, his skin and stomach are sensitive. He should not be in direct sunlight for more than a few hours at a time, and he eats food only for sensitive stomach (he currently eats Hills Science food).
He knows hand signals for come, go away, sit, lay down, no, good, and shake.
Other than these special quirks, he is just like any other dog, and deserves a loving home. He does not really like cats, and is easily spooked by fast moving objects. He also responds well to a spray bottle and vibration collar.
