Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thanks to Cheri's sponsorship, my adoption fee is waived for an approved home, to help me find my forever home even faster!
Milo is a mature, neutered male mixed-breed dog estimated to be between 5 and 8 years old. He was discovered wandering the streets of Spokane, and despite efforts to locate his owners, no one came forward to claim him. Since arriving at the shelter, Milo’s true personality has begun to shine through, and we learn more about him every day.
Full of energy and charm, Milo loves to play and thrives in the company of other dogs. His enthusiasm for life is contagious, and he’s always eager to make new friends—both canine and human. While he’s tolerant of cats, he tends to play a bit too rough for their liking, so a home without cats would be best.
One thing to note about Milo is that he can be protective of his toys, especially while in his crate. Because of this, we recommend a household with older children who understand boundaries and can help Milo feel safe and secure. With consistent training and gentle guidance, Milo is sure to be a loving and loyal companion.
If you’re interested in welcoming Milo into your family, please fill out our online application. Afterward, you can arrange a time to come meet this spirited, affectionate pup and see if he’s the perfect addition to your home.
Since Milo’s arrival, staff and volunteers have noticed he enjoys daily walks and responds well to positive reinforcement. He has mastered sit and stay and is eager to learn new commands. If you enjoy an active lifestyle and want a furry friend to share your adventures, Milo might just be the dog you’ve been searching for. Come meet him and experience his joyful personality firsthand!

More about this rescue
We are dog and cat lovers who want to help decrease the number of healthy pets being euthanized. We do this through adopting pets to caring homes and by spaying and neutering every pet before it is adopted out. We operate a Thrift store named Critters, which is volunteer run with all money brought goes to support our "No Kill" rescue. Critters is located on the same property as our shelter. We take in homeless animals because they are in need and are unable to help themselves.
