Meet Cannon — the 8-month-old pup who lives up to his name in the best (and funniest) way possible.

This sweet, friendly boy has energy that literally shoots off like a cannon. One minute he’s sitting politely, the next he’s blasting into a full-speed case of the zoomies that could rival a Fourth of July show.

Cannon LOVES toys — especially rope toys — and is at his absolute happiest when he’s carrying one… or two… or three. (Choosing just one is simply not in his skill set.) He gets along well with other dogs in playgroup and never turns down a game of chase, even when he can`t catch up. If there’s fun to be had, Cannon is already halfway there before you even finish the sentence.

He’s still polishing up his training, but honestly? His charm, eagerness to please, and ridiculously cute face make him impossible not to adore.

If you’re looking for a playful, lovable, toy-obsessed companion with a heart of gold and the zoomies of a tiny rocket… Cannon`s the one for you.

The Adoption Center is open M,T,Th,Fr from 12-7pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12-5pm. The Shelter is closed to the public on Wednesdays.

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), proudly operated by the Montgomery County Office of Animal Services, provides high-standard sheltering and care to the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County and ensures the safety and welfare of the county’s citizens.

The Center’s doors are open to all animals in need from: dogs and cats to farm animals, wildlife, and exotics. Trained staff provide animals with daily care, mental and physical enrichment, health and wellness checks, and more. Through adoptions, spay and neuter assistance, vaccination clinics, education and outreach, the Center serves as a critical community resource to promote and advocate for responsible pet care. With community support and partnerships with other animal-welfare groups, our Foster, Rescue and Volunteer programs enhance and save the lives of even more homeless animals.
