This bouncy little heartthrob is ready to rock your world with his irresistible mix of playfulness and snuggles. True to his name, Steppenwolf will jump
straight into your arms for a cuddle, hop down for a quick play session, then circle back for more love—on repeat. His tail is always wagging, his whole body wiggles with joy, and his stunning tri-color coat makes him stand out wherever he goes.
Just under 1 year old and about 20 lbs, this lab retriever mix still has some growing and lots of learning to do, but he’s eager, affectionate, and oh-so-ready for someone to show him the ropes. If you’re looking for a happy companion who loves equally to snuggle and to play, Steppenwolf is your guy!

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption.
