Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Banjo is a 3 year old, sweet little mixed-breed guy who’s been through more than he’ll ever tell us. He came to us with evidence of an old pelvic fracture, so he walks with a cute little wiggle-limp. Don’t worry, it doesn’t slow him down from doing what he loves most: being right next to his human. Banjo is a bit of a scared fellow, and he’s not shy about speaking up if he feels pushed or overwhelmed. He needs someone who understands that trust isn’t instant, it’s earned through patience, calm energy, and letting him come to you on his terms. But once he decides you’re safe? He’ll warm up, bond deeply, and happily be your loyal little shadow. He’s not searching for big adventures or long hikes. Banjo’s dream life is simple, a soft spot on the couch, gentle companionship, and a person who won’t rush him. He’s been snappy with other dogs, so if there are canine friends in the home, slow introductions will be key. If you’re looking for a small, loving buddy with a gentle spirit, a quirky gait, and a whole lot of heart, Banjo might just be your perfect match

Here at the Red Desert Humane Society we strive to place pets in the best homes possible. We ask that you fill out an adoption application prior to meeting our animals. One can be emailed to you.
Once we receive your application we will review your application. During this process we will make calls to Landlords (if applicable). As well as your veterinarian that has provided care for your past or present pets.
We ask that you provide photos of your current residence where the dog will be living.
Once this is complete we ask that your bring your current animals (if any) to the shelter to meet your potential new pet as to prevent any possible problems once you get home.
If all of this goes well and you are approved we will then have you sign our adoption contract as well as pay the adoption fee.
Please call for our adoption fees or any other information.

More about this shelter
The Red Desert Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the placement of previously homeless animals in new, loving environments.
We alter and vaccinate all animals prior to placement, and screen all applicants to ensure a lifelong match between people and pets. We also educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, proper pet care, and animal welfare. We place dogs and cats in loving, forever homes!
