Cool Whip was brought to a local shelter when her dad was diagnosed with cancer and had to move from their home.
ABOUT:
Cool Whip is a petite, three-year-old sweetheart who wins hearts the moment you meet her. She greets you at the door like you’re the best part of her day, with those bright eyes and a gentle confidence that makes her impossible to resist. Friendly and affectionate, she’s the kind of cat who makes every room feel warmer just by being in it.
She does wonderfully with other cats and brings a calm, easygoing presence to the home. Despite her small size, she carries herself with an adorable sense of self-assuredness and is excited to be part of whatever you’re doing. Whether she’s curling up nearby or offering soft head bumps, she loves being close without ever overwhelming you.
And then there are the zoomies—her tiny bursts of playful energy that show off her sweet but slightly wild side. Even at her most excited, she’s gentle, goofy, and endlessly entertaining. Cool Whip is the perfect blend of mellow companion and playful spirit, ready to bring joy, comfort, and a whole lot of love to her forever home.

Lulu’s Locker Rescue is a nonprofit, volunteer-run companion animal rescue working to bring to light the plight of black cats and dogs in shelters as well as the misconceptions surrounding FIV cats. We aim to lower the euthanasia rate of these animals by educating the public and providing foster care as we seek out permanent homes. We are committed to the protection of the misjudged and wrongly stereotyped through compassion and respect, which we believe both animals and human beings deserve.
We are based out of Frankfort, IL, and rescue cats and dogs in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
