Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Johnny!
Johnny is a big, gentle puppy with an even bigger heart. This sweet boy loves playtime with his littermate Hank and happily tries to join in the fun with his adult foster dog siblings too. His easygoing nature makes him a joy to be around, whether he’s bouncing around with buddies or relaxing at your side.
Johnny is making steady progress with potty training and has even begun to cue when he needs to go outside—smart boy! He greets new people with tail wags and an eagerness to soak up all the love and pets. Even so, he’s content when settled in his kennel or playpen, showing a wonderful balance of affection and independence.
Cuddly, kind, and full of charm, Johnny will thrive in a home filled with love and attention. If you’re looking for a gentle giant of a puppy to complete your family, Johnny might just be the perfect match!
All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
