Meet Doody, he’s a 3-year old Maltese Poodle mix. Good with other dogs. LOVES car rides. House broken. Crate trained - though he’s not a fan of being crated a lot. Fine with the cats. He is nervous with strangers and men, but once properly introduced, he’s good in just 5 minutes. Not best for really young kids running around or having little friends over because he needs that slower introduction. He likes being a lap dog in a calm home and likes playing with other dogs.

Sunny Day Acres was founded by Jennifer Gray. She is a trainer with 29 years experience. She specializes in taking in homeless, abandoned, and mistreated dogs, training them, and getting them ready for homes. In addition to our rescue efforts for the dogs, Sunny Day Acres, a 501c3 non-profit organization, has a farm animal sanctuary of other animals for adoption, and also offers boarding, and training classes in behavior/socialization, obedience, agility, search & rescue, and private lessons as well!
