My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Rocki and my mission in life is simple: to be the very best boy for my forever family.

I approach everyone with a wagging tail and the utmost respect – I’m not a jumper! I'm an intuitive and sensitive guy and I take cues really well. I greet people, kids and dogs politely. I’m really a social butterfly who knows how to mind his manners. (I’m doing really well with house-training-99% there.)

My favorite things are soft, slow pets and belly rubs, easy walks on the leash, and quiet time spent cuddling on the couch. I really don’t enjoy going to crowded places, as they can be a bit overwhelming. I would thrive in a home where my gentle nature is appreciated, whether it's a family environment with kids and another dog, or a quiet home for just me and my people.

My foster family says I’m the easiest foster dog they’ve ever had! So, if you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and gentle soul, you’ve come to the right place! If you think I might be a perfect fit for your family, please fill out an application today -- I can't wait to meet you! (HD)

Rocki weighs 50 pounds.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs live both in foster homes and at the Rocket Dog Sanctuary in Oakland. The best way to arrange a meeting for a specific dog is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

We have adoption events every weekend throughout the Bay Area, which you can see here - https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/events/
