My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Storm. I am a 2 year old male Heeler. I am heartworm tested and current on my vaccines, and soon to be neutered and microchipped. I am a foster-to-adopt candidate until my neuter!

3 words that describe me: Affectionate, Playful, cuddly.

Things staff and volunteers have to say about me:
I was brought to CRHS after being rescued from a large scale animal neglect case in Juneau County where around 80 other dogs were saved. Despite having rough beginnings I am a very sweet and affectionate guy. I am a curious guy, willing to learn new things especially with my favorite humans by my side.

Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 8 – Active guy.

Housetraining Status: Working on it, needs training.

I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. I have never met a cat before so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. I would do great in homes with children of all ages given proper adult supervision.

My favorite activities are: I love being with my humans! I like to cuddle and get all the pets and scratches I can!.

Things I need work on are: Basic commands and housetraining.

Any special needs: None

Doggy day out notes:
"Does well in the car, laid down right away but getting in and out is scary. Stairs are also a little scary. Super sweet and friendly dog but could use a little training still!"

"We didn't do too much today due to cold weather. He needed just a little assistance getting into the car, he didn't quite understand (which is ok!). He loved going on a walk and chasing some squirrels. He ended up taking a nice nap in my car. With proper training storm will do absolutely amazing in a home. He is so cuddly and well behaved!"

"Did well with people on trails. When approached by bigger groups or unfamiliar dogs, he needed to feel secure. We let him walk in between our legs and he seemed to relax when passing. Never barked."

"Storm loved the car ride and getting a pup cup! He loves to smell everything and everyone. He loved going on a hike and running in the leaves. He is a little anxious but such a sweetheart when he gets comfortable."

Daycare Status: I haven’t attended daycare yet, maybe some day.

My adoption fee is: $300

Training Requirement if applicable: None
