My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mariposa: A Tiny Butterfly Ready to Soar!

Meet Mariposa, which means "butterfly" in Spanish—a name that perfectly captures the gentle, delicate beauty of this tiny, sweet soul. Mariposa is a beautiful little Chihuahua, about 9 months old, whose heart is filled with so much love, though she keeps it carefully protected under a layer of shyness.

This little darling has made wonderful progress in her foster home, learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She is extremely shy at first and needs a family who understands that winning her trust is a gentle journey, not a race. She is looking for a very patient, loving, and quiet family committed to helping her continue to blossom and truly come out of her shell.

Key Requirements for Mariposa's Forever Home:

* A Confident Canine Companion: Mariposa must have a small, confident, and happy dog friend in her new home. She feels safest and happiest when she has a secure furry buddy to show her the ropes and share her quiet world.

* A Gentle, Indoor Life: She is a gentle, quiet girl who needs to be an indoor dog. Her safety and comfort are paramount.

* Secure Outdoor Access: A safely and securely fenced yard is essential for her to enjoy some fresh air and supervised sunbathing without any risk.

* Kids & Intros: Mariposa has not been around children and would do best in a calm home with older, quiet, and respectful kids, or an adult-only household.

Imagine the moment when this tiny butterfly finally trusts you enough to give you a kiss—it is the most touching and rewarding experience. She promises endless loyalty and gentle companionship to the special person who opens their heart and home to her.

Mariposa is ready to start her new life today! She is spayed, fully vet checked, current on all vaccines, licensed, and microchipped.
