PANDA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Panda Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua mix
Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of November 2025 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 14.4 lbs
Gets Along With: Panda does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Panda is shy, and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.
Panda is Looking For: Her forever home! This small sweetie is a sato from Puerto Rico. She did an amazing job of raising her babies Pax, Panzer and Pinky in care after she was rescued, and her puppies have all gone into their forever homes. Panda is now eagerly awaiting her turn!
She wants nothing more than to walk through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved family pet, but to get there she needs extra patient and loving adopters who understand that she hasn't seen so much of the world and how big and scary it can be to such a small dog, and are prepared to give her the support she needs to become confident in new environments. A welcoming resident dog will show her how to dog as well!
