Meet Chester!

If you are looking for an AMAZING personality cat AND do not mind a medical cat, then keep reading because this guy is THE most purrfect personality. Chester has been under our rescue care for a year (sadly for several reasons some of which are his humans forgot to post him! so no fault of his own but arwobs) Chester is not a healthy cat but he is also NOT a sick cat. He has wonky ear, wonky eyes and will always be a 'snotty' nose kitty. No medical needed nor is his life affected nor needs meds or special care BUT know he is not the right kitty for a human who wants him to be 'fixed' since he will always battle a snotty nose and bad eye sight.

Chester is THE most cuddly, loving, easy going, chilled and funny dude you will meet. He is ALWAYS testing gravity and making sure Einstein's theory of general relativity is correct. If you left something on the counter, you may want to check the floor if you can't find it! He always comes when he hears his name, he loves to cuddle and give kisses, he is THE best cat with dogs and cats, he makes friends left and right and all the foster kittens love him, he is their BIG bro aka nanny. Some of the kitties will be found suckling on poor chester who just 'takes it'. Chester has some visual issues where he is not as agile to see the 'feather wand toys' but he will try, he LOVES to play soccer with all toys especially those with bells and anything that deflects light like water or sun rays and even better lazer toys! He has the best litter box manners, the cutest chirpy small meow voice and is such a well behaved cat.

Chester was exited from a high kill shelter in LA as he was seen on social media for a plight to exit him as he had made the euthanasia list, listed him as a 5yr old intact male. We exited him and when he arrived san diego he went to a foster who then contacted us and said this cat does NOT act like a 5yr old cat, sure enough he was only a teen! acting like all teens and he has battling a bad cold typical of shelter cats with those super germs so he stayed with the foster for a month on antibiotics and once healed he came to casa de arwob where he has been for a year. We had to first figure out what his medical was with his colds coming and going, his eye sight and of course his 'bad ear'. It turnes out this poor guy was probably sick for too long at the shelter so his eye right was affected and will always battle 'colds' that just come and go without need for treatment.
He continued to have ear infections because of his wonky ear and we decided to amputate the ear flap which was already deformed this way we could minimise ear infections, its been a couple of months and that helped as he has not had more ear infections, yay!

Chester will brighten anyones day and can't help but smile with him around. He has a great loving personality and is a perfect match for a family with children, dogs or cats. If only adults in the home be ready for THE best friend you never thought you needed!

If you like to foster or adopt this handsome fella please submit applications online at ARWOB.org we can always schedule calls to talk about his medical and personality more in deepth to explain or even better check out his videos to get a sense of him or meet him during a meet and greet once your application is approved. We do not hold adoption events for cats and only schedule meets at their foster home hence applications are important.

More about this rescue

The A.R.W.O.B. group is based in San Diego, CA and operates mostly in Mexico as well as Southern California and will come to the aid of any animal in need which crosses our path. Our belief is to do what we can in order to “Make a difference in their lives.” From experience we have observed and feel the companion animals of Mexico are in the greatest need and accordingly we focus much of our efforts in Baja, Mexico. However, we certainly extend our help to our north of the border critters by accepting relinquished family pets, exiting both dogs and cats from the shelters of San Diego and of course by working in conjunction with other animal rescue groups in the community
