Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tucker, the Big-Hearted Buddy Ready for a Fresh Start! Tucker is a 4 year old, 70lb mixed breed sweetheart who is dog friendly and full of gentle charm. He recently tested heartworm positive, but with treatment and care, he has every chance at a bright, healthy future. Tucker is calm, loyal, and the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side. Meet Tucker today and help him begin his next chapter with love. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. You can pre-adopt now. Treatment includes one injection on Day 1 and a second injection 24 hours later. Your dog can go home after the second injection is completed. After going home, your dog will need 30 days of strict rest, low activity, short leash walks only, and minimal outdoor time. This helps prevent complications while the heartworms clear from their system. Important to know: • Heartworms are not contagious to other dogs; they are spread only by mosquitoes. • Heartworm disease is easily preventable with monthly prevention, similar to flea/tick products. • If you have any questions about treatment, prevention, or aftercare, please talk with your veterinarian.
