Name: Bratwurst Best Guess for Breed: Basset hound and terrier mix
Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of September 2025 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 28 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs and kids! Bratwurst would
do best in a home without cats.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home.

Bratwurst is Looking For: Her forever family! This absurdly cute low-low rider is in her prime as a young adult dog and is eager to explore the world by her humans' side - and to get all those snuggles and cuddles after a long day together. She promises adoring gazes (with or without head tilt), happy little tail wags, and loyal companionship for all her days in exchange. What do you say? Is she the one you see way down there by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Bratwurst is the sweetest, most loving, most snuggly girl! Don't let her size fool you, she is an energetic little lady who loves to explore, go on walks, and is doing well learning her leash skills! She has done well with meeting new people, including kids. She already knows 'sit' and has done well with housetraining. She does like the crate but much prefers sleeping in the bed. Bratwurst is super smart and would love a family who can commit to keeping her busy with training. She loves her people and would love to join your family for lots of adventures and cuddles!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
